Perhaps you’ve not seen the news on Twitter, Facebook, or the mailing list. If so, you may not know that I’m actively working on a new book and course about Zend Expressive.
Perhaps you’ve not seen the news on Twitter, Facebook, or the mailing list.
If so, you may not know that I’m actively working on a new book and course about Zend Expressive.
It’s called: Zend Expressive Essentials.
Ever since ZendCon 2016, I’ve been thinking about turning my Zend Expressive talk into a book and course.
I had a load of reasons both for and against.
However, I couldn’t shake the excitement around doing so.
And have decided to do it!
What’s In-Store?
A lot of the books and online courses you typically see want to teach you every little thing about a topic — nothing wrong with that.
I’m taking the opposite approach.
I’m not throwing everything at you.
Instead, I’m giving you the essentials that you need to know so that you can create applications with Zend Expressive ASAP!
Sure, there are loads of things that you could know.
However, if you don’t have the right foundation, you can waste time diving in and out of so many things and make no real progress.
So get yourself off to the right start with this book and course.
Sound exciting? Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll learn:
- What Is A Micro Application
- What Is Zend Expressive
- Zend Expressive’s Core Components
- How To Create An Application Manually
- How To Create An Application Using The Skeleton Installer
- How To Adding Database Support To Your Application
- How To Create Simple — Yet Powerful — Middleware
Whether you’re interested in creating APIs, or page-based output, you won’t be disappointed.
You’ll learn how to create applications which do both.
I don’t have an estimated completion date as yet.
However, over the coming weeks, as I get more of the material together, I’ll have an expected completion date for you.
Interested?
If you want to know more, please share your email with me.
That way, I’ll know if you’re interested and be able to share progress updates and loads more with you.
What’s more, you’ll get a cheeky discount for being involved so early on too.
Matt
PS I’m already tweeting out progress updates on Twitter. I sure hope you’re keen and will jump on board this project.
Whether you’re completely new to Zend Framework, have experience in other PHP frameworks, such as Symfony, CodeIgniter, Laravel, Kohana and FuelPHP or have a background in other, MVC-based frameworks, get the book that teaches you what you need to know to develop successfully with Zend Framework 2.
After much, much, work, Master Zend Framework is live and it’s better in every way than the original.
Ever thought that it’s hard to get started with Zend Expressive? Ever think you need to know Vagrant, Ansible, Docker, Puppet, Linux, and more? Nope, you don’t! In this post, I’m going to show you that, while these tools can help, if you’re just getting started with the framework (such as learning about it), you don’t need them.
Ever thought of creating a Zend Expressive module, one that either scratches an itch or allows you to use a set of related functionality across multiple Zend Expressive projects? I created one recently and share how I did it with you in this three-part series.
